TABUR EXTREME THROUGH THE SECRET GARDEN.
Six hikers set out on a hike at tabur .The mission to look for the lost trek linking tabur extreme and to go where no Tabur Hikers have gone before..Our journey starts from the secret garden .We have to cut through some undergrowth in our search to look for the marker left by some hikers who had gone there. Each time we found one there were scream of excitment but all that soon die down as we seems to get nowhere. After two hours of searching for the impossible trek, we vote to abort the hike and set to return to our cars. On the way downhill we were looking for our marker in order to get out of the thick wood , when we saw what look like a rope on the rocky hill. As we get closer it was confirm, we had found what we came to look for.All of us was filled with joy as we climb up from the other side of tabur extreme. On the way down we took another route instead of our normal route .The trek was wider and much easier to access. On the way we met two orang asli with two big baskets. We called out to them "ada durian ah?" (any durians) and they answered in the affirmative. They bekon to where they were to savour the durians. Now who could resist such an offer. ? After our durians feast, they showed us another shorter route back to where our car was. It took us 7 hours and 11.8 km for the whole hike. It was a very exciting and rewarding hike indeed. We found more than just one short cut. Misson accomplished

SAFETY IS THE ESSENCE.
Something worth reading. Hikers should not take things for granted. Hike safely and take the necessary precaution.
Be well prepared before you hike

CITY folk who are into hiking have quite a number of places to explore nature. Among the better known jungle trekking spots within an hour's drive from the city centre are the Kutu Hill in Kuala Kubu Baru, Saga Hill (Cheras), Broga Hill (Semenyih), and Templer's Park and Kanching Forest Reserve near Rawang.
Some of these spots are popular hiking trails, built with various facilities including trail markers and rest huts, others are not.
The latter usually have signboards cautioning trekkers to explore at their own risk. The trails are also not monitored by guides or rangers to whom hikers can report themselves before starting their journey.
For those intending to explore forests in Selangor, the State Forestry Department has advised hikers and trekkers to inform them first.
"At least if they get lost, we can look for them," said a spokesman.
